▌ Synopsis
In the heart of Vallecas, 1996, the nights pulse between neon lights, electronic music and the eternal struggle to find a path of your own.
The novel follows Rai and his group of friends through adolescence, caught between clandestine clubs, arcades and streets that never sleep. Some look for a way out; others fall into violence and theft.
A journey into a time when everything seemed possible, but also dangerous — a generation that grew up among car fumes, the dark hallways of school and the promise of an uncertain future.

Esta mañana me he despertado con el olor a café que prepara mi madre. Ella lleva toda la vida sacrificándose por nosotros: es ama de casa, buena cocinera y siempre encuentra la forma de estirar lo poco que hay en la nevera. Mientras me visto, escucho el sonido de las tazas que chocan contra la mesa. Es como un ritual: mi madre preparando el desayuno mientras mi padre ya está fuera trabajando.
Mi hermano pequeño, por otro lado, todavía está en la cama, ajeno a las preocupaciones que ya me quitan el sueño a mí. A veces me pregunto si él se da cuenta de lo mucho que se preocupa mamá por los dos, o si simplemente disfruta de su inocencia mientras puede.
